Sunday school classes*

Many of our Sunday School classes are back to meeting in-person again on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:15 am in various locations throughout our campus.  A volunteer will be available to help you find your way when you arrive inside our doors on Sunday morning.  We look forward to having you join us!

*Please note: Some of our Sunday School classes are not currently meeting because of various issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, but we are beginning to offer more in-person opportunities as participants feel more comfortable.

The Men’s bible class

The Men’s Bible Class has the distinction of having the longest history in the church.  This class meets in the lower level of the church each Sunday and is taught by Rev. Goforth.  They are currently exploring the meaning of the 10 Commandments through Adam Hamilton’s recent study and videos on the subject.  Visitors are always welcome.

The Asbury class

The Asbury Sunday School Class meets in the Chapel.  This class follows a traditional format, using the United Methodist Adult Bible Studies.  The lessons are currently being led by Kristin Holmstrom, and discussion and participation are encouraged.  Visitors are always welcome.

The Gate Class

The Gate Class meets in the Church Parlor and teaching is usually shared by a rotation of members within the class.  Visitors are always welcome.

  • Chancel Choir.  Choir Rehearsal is generally held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm, apart from the summer months.  Our choir director, Jane Hill, would love to talk with you about joining us as we lead the congregation in song during worship.  We are always open to some new members willing to “make a joyful noise” to the Lord!
  • Hand Bell Choir.  Our Hand Bell Choir has not been currently meeting because of COVID-19, but we hope to be able to begin a more routine practice schedule in the coming weeks and months.  Prior experience and the ability to read music is not required.  Contact Jane Hill for more details and to get connected.
